I have a 2003 Ford F-150 5.4 liter and i don't know what to do?

Like I said before i have a 2003 f150 5.4 liter and i can't even squawk the tires when i hit the gas harder it just jerks the truck numerous times is there anything i can do to make the truck snappier (better acceleration) and make it so if i want i can burn the tires. yes i know its not good for the truck i don't want that lecture ive had it a lot i just want to know if there is anything i can do. also if i get a cold air intake will that do anything? i plan on get true dual straight pipes with magnaflow cats and im thinkin 3 inch pipe comin into 3.5 in tips would that sound good?
