Is it possible to rekindle the spark?

Well my gf and I broke up recently because although we felt very close and still could be intimate with one another there was no spark. She is currently dating someone else at the moment but i still love her a lot. I dont plan on waiting for her forever but I was wondering if the spark could one day come back after we both go do some exploring?
