Why wont the Rift play on work?

Ok so i installed rift and logged in. I clicked the play on and it loads for a second or two saying cancel then goes right back to saying play. The game does not load and I am ticked off. I already tried restarting my computer. I also looked up ways on google to fix this but it seems im the only one that has this problem. Please help me fix this I want to play Rift it looks like a fun game. If i cant fix this is there any games you recommend that is closely related to Rift? Like random invasions?
