Rarest of the rare beasts on monster hunter freedom unite?

its on level 2 of the missions, you have to kill a congalala, i have tried everything i max up to the full on potions, herds medikits, and i have traps and everything i have tryed it with all the weapons i have but i still cant beat the stupid pink monkey. the weapons i have are white serpentblade attack 384 (with ice attrib:120), giaprey ballon attack 416(ice attrib:100), iron katana attack 480, bone blade+ attack384. i dont know what to use or if i will have to get new weapons but i cant seem to beat it, i get it to a point where it breaths fire and it ate the mushroom from its tale but it takes half the life off me with one hit after it eats the muchroom. the armer i have is battle vambraces level 3, battle helm level4, battle mail level 4, battle greaves level 4 and battle tet level 4. any surgestions are good ones thanx
