Why do republicans try to pretend that it was bill clinton and not george w bush at the helm on September 11th?

So using your type of logic Bush knew nothing of the movement of terrorists before the attacks during his year in office, he knew nothing of where Bin Ladin was, He knew nothing of the banking problems his eight years in office, he knew nothing of torture in Bagdad, nothing of 50 billion of theft of stock holders, nothing of WMD and nothing of the economy and the loss of almost 4 million jobs. So what did he know?
